The client portal built for RIAs.

We help RIAs and registered representatives turn sponsor reports into plain-English updates. Every number traces to its source, a second person approves every update, and each investor sees only their own holdings.

About us

Built by a representative who got tired of explaining spreadsheets.

Dave Rumsey started WealthInsight to give his own investors clear, checked updates on the private deals he placed them in.

Your investors chose a private real estate deal because they trusted you. They deserve to hear how it is going in plain words, with the bad news stated as clearly as the good.

The reporting gap

Sponsors send numbers. Investors want to know what they mean.

A monthly owner's package can run to ninety pages of Yardi statements and operator shorthand. The sponsor's letter, when there is one, tends to lead with the good news. Somewhere in between, a representative is answering the same question by email for every client who asks.

Packages nobody reads

Balance sheets, rent rolls and variance workbooks arrive every month with no summary of what changed or why it matters.

Losses go unmentioned

A sponsor letter can describe rising occupancy and leave out that the property lost money after mortgage interest.

Holdings by email

Each investor who asks what they own gets a summary typed by hand from a spreadsheet, one client at a time.

Review happens late

Communications need supervision, yet most drafts reach compliance as finished emails with no record of where each figure came from.

How WealthInsight works

From sponsor files to a sent update, with a record at every step

The same five steps for every deal, every month or quarter, so each update is checked the same way before an investor reads it.

01

Collect the files

A checklist tracks what each sponsor owes for the period. Files are fingerprinted on upload and never overwritten.

02

Read the numbers

Standard statement lines such as NOI, cash flow and occupancy are read straight from the package and quote the line they came from.

03

Check against the plan

Each measure sits beside last period, this year's budget and the original projection, and every miss past its threshold is flagged.

04

Write it plainly

Every sentence cites its numbers as live figures from confirmed data. A draft that skips a loss cannot be published.

05

Approve and send

A second person approves the frozen version, and each investor receives a copy built from their own investment alone.

The platform

Four parts of one workspace for an alternative investment practice.

In practice

What the checks catch before an investor does.

Three situations drawn from real sponsor packages, with the names and figures changed.

Self storage01

A sponsor letter that left out the loss

The monthly letter reported higher occupancy and steady move-ins. The financial package in the same folder showed a net loss after mortgage interest and negative cash flow every month.

What WealthInsight does

The balance check blocks the draft until a sentence states the loss and the cash flow, citing both figures from the package.

Multifamily02

A 13% miss with no stated cause

The operator's memo named an NOI shortfall against budget and gave no reason. The explanation sat in a variance workbook deep inside the same package.

What WealthInsight does

The number check flags the miss, finds the passage that explains it, and proposes wording that a person keeps or rewrites.

Apartment portfolio03

A rent roll full of residents' names

The owner's package included a sixty-page rent roll listing every resident. It belonged in the file and had no place in anything an investor sees.

What WealthInsight does

Files marked as holding personal data can never be shared with investors or placed in the portal, by anyone.

FAQ

Questions advisors ask before they start.

Who is WealthInsight for?

RIAs and registered representatives who place clients in private real estate, self storage and other alternative investments, and who report to those clients on what the sponsors send.

Does the AI write investor updates on its own?

No. AI suggests figures and wording, and every suggestion is checked before anyone sees it. A suggested number needs a quoted passage that really appears in the sponsor's file. A person decides what goes in every update.

Can one investor ever see another investor's figures?

Each investor's copy is built from their own investment alone, and our test suite renders two investors side by side to confirm neither copy holds the other's data.

How does it fit our compliance process?

Every update is frozen as a numbered version before review. A compliance reviewer other than the preparer approves it, your firm's required wording prints on every copy, and the audit log exports to CSV for your broker-dealer's records.

What about projections?

Showing projections to investors is off by default because FINRA Rule 2210 limits them. Your firm turns it on in its policies when it decides to.

Can we bring our existing spreadsheet?

Yes. WealthInsight imports a holdings workbook, reads each tab with plain code, and lands every holding as unverified until someone on your team checks it.
