WealthInsight began with one advisor and one spreadsheet.
Dave Rumsey tracked every client's holdings in a Google Sheet, and whenever an investor asked how their money was doing he wrote the answer by hand.
The sponsors sent plenty of data. Monthly Yardi packages, budget comparisons and rent rolls arrived on schedule, usually with no statement of what any of it meant. Investors were left to dig through the numbers themselves, and many of them stopped trying.
Dave wanted something better for his clients, and he wanted it built around the rules a registered representative works under. WealthInsight is the result. It reads the sponsor's files, checks every number against its source and the original projection, states the bad news alongside the good, and puts a second reviewer between every draft and every investor.

Dave Rumsey
Founder
Dave Rumsey is a securities-licensed registered representative who places clients in private real estate and self-storage offerings. He works under FINRA supervision every day and built WealthInsight to fit the way a supervised practice has to communicate.
Dave is preparing to register as an investment advisor so he can bring clients to more sponsors. WealthInsight started as the portal he wanted for his own investors, and he now offers it to other RIAs and representatives who report on alternative investments.
